Recently, the first automatic monitoring station for urban surface water quality invested by the district government in Shaanxi Province was built in the campus of Seokyeong University on the south bank of Juehu River in Chang'an District.

The Xie River is not only a key river that has been heavily renovated in Chang'an District, but also the only urban river that crosses the city. With the normal operation of the automatic water quality monitoring station, real-time monitoring will be carried out on 7 indicators such as water temperature, turbidity, and ammonia nitrogen concentration in the Huaihe River Basin. Real time monitoring data will be released on the supervision screen of the "Chang'an District Environmental Monitoring Socialization Supervision Platform" to achieve transparency of water quality information, sharing of water quality monitoring data, legal basis for water quality pollution investigation and punishment, and prevention of sudden water quality pollution incidents.

In the future, residents on both sides of the Taiwan Strait will not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Xie River, but also be able to access real-time water quality information of the Xie River through the "Chang'an District Environmental Monitoring and Social Supervision Platform", participate in and supervise pollution control and continuous improvement of the water quality of the urban river in a timely manner.
