Project Introduction

The Fire Protection and Construction Engineering Testing Center of Jiangsu Provincial Quality Inspection Institute is a provincial-level authoritative technical institution authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, specializing in product testing, quality appraisal, scientific research and development, and technical consulting. It is a comprehensive inspection service institution in Jiangsu Province and also a nationally renowned comprehensive inspection institute. The center is a key construction project of the Jiangsu Provincial Quality Inspection Institute's two five-year plans, and also one of the key construction projects of the Jiangsu Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision System. It focuses on building four major laboratories: the flame retardant building materials and product fire performance laboratory, the fire-resistant building component testing laboratory, the fire equipment and fire electronic product testing laboratory, and the construction engineering testing laboratory. After its completion, the center will serve as a fire and construction product testing base in Jiangsu Province, providing fair, accurate, and efficient testing services to government functional departments, the public, and production enterprises.

Advanced testing equipment

The total investment in equipment is nearly 40 million yuan, and the laboratory covers an area of 10000 square meters. There are currently over 100 sets of equipment, which is in a leading position in China.

Detection capability range:

• Flame retardant building materials and product testing

Mainly including flame retardant fabrics, flame retardant chemical fibers, flame retardant plastics, flame retardant rubber, flame retardant wood materials, inorganic non combustible materials and products.

• Testing of fire-resistant building components and accessories

Mainly including fire doors, fire windows, fire rolling shutters, fire dampers, fire fans, fire exhaust ducts, steel structure fire retardant coatings, etc.

• Fire equipment and electronic fire detection

Mainly including fire extinguishing agents, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, fire detectors, fire emergency lighting fixtures, etc.

Construction project testing

Mainly including the physical and mechanical properties of cement, steel for reinforced concrete, conventional sand and gravel, performance of concrete and mortar, simple geotechnical engineering, concrete additives, asphalt and asphalt mixtures, special on-site testing, etc.
